Chevrette (from French – goat) – a magnificent snow-white rennet cheese with a light pleasant smell of goat milk. The cheese is dense, brittle, slightly salted, mild with a rich milky soft taste.
Great for making both regular and hot sandwiches. It fits perfectly with a bright component in cheese and fruit platters. Chevrette goes perfectly with dry and semi-dry white wine. Its easy to melt property allows the use of cheese when baking. It goes well with pasta and vegetables. Delicately complements vegetarian dishes. Ideal for children as well as people allergic to cow’s milk.
In 1898, 6 Dutch dairies merged to create the Dairy Export Association, since then the Frico trademark is the most famous cheese brand of the largest Dutch dairy association Friesland Campina. Each year, about 3.5 billion liters of the best Dutch milk is processed for Frico cheeses. The cheeses of the company are the national pride of the Dutch – in honor of the 125th anniversary of the company, the Queen of the Netherlands granted Friesland Campina Cheese the right to add the word “Royal” to the name.
